crook Reza Solhi for 6 months as his area manager in the year 2002
at 3 for 1 Pizza & Wings. I have realized he was ripping people off
so I started informing the new potential buyers not buy from him but
he found out what I was doing so I had to quit. Then I started
organizing old and new franchisees against Reza Solhi and took them
to Toronto Police Department to file a complaint and to lawyers in
Toronto. Since he realized I became a big threat for him he sued me
for 2 millions dollars by fake accusations and had me arrested 2
different times on false charges by lying witnesses working for him
and his so-called wife as well. These false charges never went to
court however I had to spend thousands of dollars on lawyer fees.
His lawyer and partner John C<...... ...> is also a big crook
like Reza Solhi and a disgrace to his profession. I still do not
know why he and his gang are not behind bars. Justice will never happen until he is behind bars. |

criminal for a few months, during which I was fed disinformation by
'Anthony' and his cronies, and promised how we were going to be
building beautiful stores for our 'franchise family'. After the true picture became clearer to me, I left the company without so much as a 'I Quit'. I ran for my life and my reputation. How is it that if you punch someone in the face, it's assault and you can go to jail, yet if you steal all their money and absolutely ruin and devastate lives like Solhi has done, you can get away with it and continue defrauding people in EXACTLY the same way. It is horrifying. I say stop this man and enact laws that can put him away for good. He is no different than a sociopath: A danger to society. |

| Anonymous 20 | Mr. Solhi sold us an
unfinished business; stopped payment on the original contractor's
cheque, whose cheques to sub-contractors subsequently bounced. I was
asked to find replacement subcontractors; the original
subcontractors submitted proposals, and were accepted to finish
their work. They were never paid. A check with the local credit bureau revealed that the plumber had a cheque written on a Monday, supposedly to be hand delivered on Tuesday, but was actually one of 13 cheques that had stop payments applied on the Monday they were written. Food was delivered in non-refrigerated trucks, short-shipped with no notice, and we were threatened with fines if we purchased goods elsewhere. RBC demanded a letter from 3-4-1 that NO used equipment would be installed. When I noticed the used walk-in fridge and used walk-in freezer and mentioned it to RBC, I was told it was my problem. Whenever I tried to reach Mr. Solhi, it was impossible, and someone else said the matter was looked after. That was the same answer I received every time I had a question or concern. I signed for a small business loan in a November, was made to quit work first of February, went to Scarborough store for two week training, store was not habitable until May (meanwhile, having to make loan payments), and when fire system company came back to re-certify system in September, dismantled the fusible links and wiring, and refused further work, as they had not been paid a penny from April job. I called 3-4-1 and told them I was shut down due to their negligence and fraudulent practices. Within two days, they showed up, changed locks and put a notice on inside of door that I was in default, and would be charged with theft if anything went missing from premises. That was the last I heard, until new owner lasted only six weeks before closing. Nothing since, short of staving off bankruptcy, and wife's wages are still garnisheed. Please advise if I have anywhere to turn for help and/or re-compensation. Thank you,

I am writing this email to get the justice in Canada and I believed that you will be the right person to guide me because being a new immigrant; I am facing lots of struggle to fight for the justice. I had enclosed my brief story with this: 1. My name is Anil T**** and I am a new immigrant in this country. I moved from USA in the end of 2004, seeing a beautiful dream for my life, future and family bitterness as the people has mentioned about the country diversity, human rights and the opportunity for an honest, hard working people. 2. After arrived in Mississauga, I’d visited lots of newcomer places and employment agencies in these two years and found most of all the information for a new immigrant except how to protect yourself from the fraud peoples, who rip you off knowing a awful and slow Canadian law. As a new immigrant, I believed that all newcomer places should provide the limitation of Canadian law and information to protect yourself.3. In the middle of September 2006, I thought my struggle days are out. We (I and my wife) try to purchase a business (Quiznos Sub) which was on Sale. The reputation of Quiznos and their name in USA was more valuable to their corporation then in Canada which I felt after my incident. 4. I deposited $30,000 (Bank Draft), paid November rent and buy Merchandise $4400 (Bank Draft) to the person, who was the employer of my wife and owner of the store on the base of emotional trust and verbal agreement. Coming from the South Asian heritage, I trust the people so fast which brought me this result. I had believed in the system of development country and their security, which is broke after being a victim. I am worried about my future to support my family and the criminal is openly walking on the street to victimize another person like me (New Immigrant, who may come from undeveloped country to make his future bright in Canada). The peoples resided here from around the world, hoping for the better future of their kids. I had seen same kind of future with purchasing RESP plan for my 2 year daughter but this business took my dream. The person who taken my dream is driving his BMW and living in the luxury apartment without any fear because he know the accent to talk and the lousy Canadian system.5. I started to ask for help and right suggestion from Quiznos, Dixie Outlets Mall but didn’t get any helpful answers; they just tried to save their head by showing me to consult with the Lawyer. I consulted with a lawyer and paralegal, they suggested me to complain the person on Fraud and theft case to the police and when I talk with the police, they suggested me to go to the lawyer and filed case against him in civil litigation. Everyone tried to save their head. 6. I went to complain in the police station at 11 division then the front desk officer gave me a phone number to file a complain because they didn’t take complain walk-ins. I can’t believed this country, were people go to ask for help and protection, send back to complain on the phone. From the parking lot of 11 divisions, I contact on the number and asked communication then she transferred me to the officer, he asked my case in brief without finishing my story, he put me on hold for 5 min and told me to contact another officer after 10 min. I called another officer after 10 min, it went to the officer voice mail and I left brief message about the reason of my call.7. Around 5pm on same day, I received a call at my home from the officer, who started his conversation on high voice which I felt of his frustration to file a case. I thought he was anger with me because I may create one more headache to him or one more workload. I try to convince him that I am robbed by a Fraud person then he started to interrogate me as a criminal instead of investigate. He then started his philosophy that he brought his three homes using the lawyer and his son brought business by doing the same way. Being a civilian and new immigrant, I make that mistake but if he does same mistake then how he’ll be qualified as a Police Officer. Why the people go to see a doctor because they have a pain and what will be a doctor duty; to solve the problem. Instead of giving me a treatment, he started to scratch my pain. 8. Why the people go to see a police because they need a protection and what will be a police duty, first investigate and solve the problem. If everything goes well in daily base life then we don’t need any police or nor any army personnel. Without seeking any documents of mine, he decided that the person who robbed me is not a fraud. After my couple of request to see my documents, he allowed me to see his assistant on Monday at Peel Region of Police Office but he already decided that Emad is not a Fraud. He saved his head without knowing, how hard is that for us, who lose every saving of their life?9. I didn’t understand why Canadian government pays so high to this public service worker from the public tax money; they just sit there to collect their cheque instead of working for the public by putting their head on. If all the people work like that then Canada will not be the dream home for the entire Immigrants who came to fulfill their dream. As Safe, Peace and Secured life in Canada. 10. Finally, Peel Region of Police called me and talks about my situation that felt me, I’ll get a justice but I was wrong, they decided the case on the favor of Fraud because of my language barrier (accent). Being a new immigrant and victim, I don’t know what to do and where to go for the justice.So, I am hoping for your suggestion and guideline to get the justice. Please, help me….. | Anonymous 15 | Comment 1: I am an active member of the Liberal Party of Canada and Ontario Liberal Party and would like to see the government do something about this. I have also worked as a senior assistant in a Federal Minister's office and if anything like this ever crossed my desk I would make sure that we at least took a good look into the case. After watching the story on CTV about what has happened, the government should act. Governments are supposed to protect its citizens and working on this file would be a great way to do so. Comment 2: Hi there - I just saw your story on CTV and was quite angry to see what happened. I don't work in politics anymore, but worked in Paul Martin's personal office when he was Prime Minister and Belinda Stronach's office as her Ontario political assistant when she was a Minister. I know a lot of people in the Ontario and Federal governments and would like to help you if people in the McGuinty government are not paying attention to your case. | Anonymous 14 | WFive, My wife and I purchased a "3 for 1 Pizza and Wings" Franchise in London, Ontario, in 1999. We had nothing but trouble for many months getting the store opened. Supposed contractor delays, other delays from "3 for 1", and finally 6 months after providing a down payment (of family-borrowed money), the store opened. We were promised a flashy grand opening, which never happened, and so many problems with product delivery I couldn't even count them now. Being a pizza/wing franchise, it was not uncommon for them to "forget" to delivery the wings, so I'd have to schedule an employee to cover the store so I could drive from London to Toronto at their request, to pickup my wings. Finally all came to an end just 6 months later. We couldn't afford to keep the store running anymore, having to drive to Toronto to pickup food they would forget to deliver. And not once in the time we owned the store, had Reza Solhi visited the store, even though every few weeks he would promise me he would personally visit to show his support. Closing the store was no end to our hardships either, we lost $135,000, and set us back so much it was emotionally devastating. We had contacted lawyers about trying to recover our losses, but due to the amount we had already lost, there was no way we could even entertain the idea of launching a lawsuit against Solhi's pockets. After many years trying to forget and "put this behind us", saw the article on ctv.ca, and just had to submit our story. I'm sure there are many more victims of this fraudulent company, and maybe you'll hear from more. We just wish we could recover at least some of our money, to gain some kind of dignity back that we lost. If forwarding our story to Police would help, please let us know. I am an ex-employee of 341.
The company own me a lot of wages. I have asked Administration
of labor to help me to collect my money, but they could not get
my money back. This guy is not afraid of law. It seems the
Canadian law can do nothing about him. I hope you could do
something to put him into prison. I will help you if I can.

I have seen how Reza move his
properties from 341 to Pizza One.

| Anonymous 8 | I worked for this crook for 6 weeks...and after finding out he was ripping people off....I quit, as I want nothing to do with people who steal from hardworking individuals. To top it off, he also ripped me off for $350 in parking expenses and gas, then I find out that one of the franchises I had sold to a couple in Chatham.....were suing Reza Solhi and myself for $50,000. after I had warned them not to give this crook anymore money. They did end up giving him more money as he was able to convince them that it was a very good business venture. This crook should be put into jail.....why the Ontario government doesn't do anything amazes me even more. Most of these people he steals from are immigrants just looking to start a life in this country of ours. What kind of message does this send out to immigrants looking to actually start a life here? |
